Our staff play key role in national nurse recruitment drive

Posted on 14/09/2019

A new national nurse recruitment drive features staff from Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The campaign launched 15 September 2019 with a TV commercial shown on prime time national TV ad breaks and in cinemas.

The ad was filmed on site at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, at Wycombe Hospital, and at other community locations across Buckinghamshire. Ani, a staff nurse from Wycombe Hospital who is featured in the ad, said of the experience:

It was a little overwhelming having a camera focused on me at first, but the advice was to ‘act natural’, so that’s exactly what I did.

In fact, the least natural part for me was singing karaoke in a pub! I love being a nurse and if being part of this campaign will help attract more people to such a fulfilling profession, and especially to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, then that is great.
